Edible & Medicinal Plants of the Gila – The Catron County Plant Walk
Did I say I was done editing the children’s book before? I did, but I was wrong. I had a whole ‘nother round with it and am actually done ~today~ and will be sending the final (really really final) version to the printer tomorrow. It’s a good thing too, because with the amount of student work that has built up, I might be spending from now until May in a cave catching up.
In other news, I’ll be doing my annual Edible and Medicinal Plants of the Gila Walk come May 2nd out near the Saliz Pass (with lunch afterward). Now, I realize that (strangely enough) most of my 800+ subscribers aren’t even from the Southwest, much less the Gila, but if any of you are interested in coming or know someone else who might be please let me know or spread the word, as applicable. The plants I will be discussing are fairly common to the entire intermountain West, so the info would be plenty applicable to you folks in Arizona and other surrounding regions. Educational handouts will be included, but note taking materials are strongly suggested. Contact me for more details!
