Cory, I don't have to walk all the way to town, either a mile straight up a mountain or a mile and a half through seven river crossings, depending on where the truck is parked. from there it's about eight miles to the village. You've just described the story of my life up until recently when I decided I needed to get back in tune with myself and the natural world around me.The happiness I feel nowadays comes from seeing an afternoon basked in golden sunshine or spending a quiet morning by the seashore. It's a truer kind of happiness, one that feels so authentic and intrinsic. I just started reading your blog. I am living a slow life in rural France after being in the middle of Los Angeles for ten years and feel that I have finally found real happiness, its hard to explain, but you do a pretty good job of it! blessings!
