Kiva, Thank you for reminding me to pick up the Acorns. The last few days I've only been seeing the acorns as falling missles! I did some of my own research about them and today will be spent experimenting with the nuts. I really enjoy seeing your world through your words

Your words of late harvest time are beautiful....I've never ventured out West from my place in the northeast, but exploring it with you here in words and photos is an amazing treat. Thank you.

Beautiful, Kiva, thank you!
Our trees here are just starting to turn, with some beautiful colours becoming apparent. You can smell the change in season first thing in the morning and for the past few days the wind has been really chill - such a shock from the blazing heat of Los Angeles last week! I indulged myself at the Portland Saturday market 3 weeks ago by buying a cedar Indian flute with drone. It has a beautiful tone and I'm intending to use it for quiet times and contemplation. I work in the centre of our second largest city, but there is grass growing out of the gutter of my 5th floor window and I'm off to the canal during my lunch hour to try and gather elderberries, blackberries and rosehips if there are any still there.
Thank you for sharing your emotions with us and helping us to reflect on our own.
