For coughs, post nasal drips, and sore throat, a wonderful herbal syryp that I make that is gentle enough for my kids is Wild Cherry Bark, Horehound and Marshmallow Root. I still administer my homemade Elderberry Tincture as well before the start of the cold/flu season to build up immunity. For congestion, I'll add a drop of my homemade Yarrow (part of the Trinity) tincture to Wild Ginger tea. I took your suggestion of Miso soup and have had wonderful results.

I love your web site and enjoy reading about your daily activities. It opens my eyes to your surroundings in the area that you live in and expands my knowledge even more.

We are still in the snow season here in Upstate NY, and nothing yet has been peaking though the snow. Although my pussywillows have budded; I am afraid that they may have become frozen. I look forward to the spring when my garden comes to life.
